Founded in 1974, the Figure Skating section of Club Hiversport Luxembourg was chaired at the time by Dr Pol Nilles.

The Luxembourg Skating Union (ULP) was created two years later, with Mr. Camille Michels at its head.
Mr. Robert Hemmer was its treasurer.

The first “Coupe du Printemps” was organized at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink in 1978.

This same ice rink hosted the “Gala des Champions” in 1982, which made a stop in Luxembourg during its world tour.
Another highlight was the “Holiday on Ice” show which performed in Luxembourg.
